Find Relief with the Diversified Technique
The entire body is connected. When one part of the body is out of alignment, it can throw off the rest of the body. A single bone slightly out of place will shift the attached muscles, which will then pull connected muscles, which can then affect other bones as well, and so on. It's a domino effect and one that needs to be corrected. Our staff here at Orlando Injury Medicine helps correct this through the use of diversified technique. This is a very specific chiropractic method of treatment and may be perfect for you.
What Is the Diversified Technique?
This technique, which can only be provided by a licensed chiropractic physician, involves a number of movements. The Diversified Chiropractic Technique (which some refer to simply as DCT) uses a low amplitude application of pressure, followed by a quick, high-velocity thrust over a specific joint. The goal of this technique is to improve the alignment and range of motion within a specific joint. This move is then repeated for different joints. The move is also used to help repair joint dysfunction.
Widely Used Technique
There are a number of chiropractic techniques used by chiropractic physicians. Most chiropractic physicians will specialize in several, as patients often require different forms of treatment depending on their situation or injury.
As the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners reports, most chiropractic offices offer up to a half-dozen different techniques, although nearly three quarters of all patients are treated using the diversified technique. This shows its overall importance in how it is used to treat patients. Additionally, for chiropractors who do use varying techniques on individual patients, nearly 100 percent of chiropractors use the diversified technique on their patients (and then use a different technique if such an injury requires it).
Here at Orlando Injury Medicine, this is just one of the treatment services we offer.
